GIZ Funding: How to Work With and Get Support From GIZ
98 matching capital sources on the ASFIP database · Last checked October 2026
GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit) is Germany's main development cooperation agency. It runs programmes for the German government and other donors in about 120 countries, including many in energy, climate, agriculture and private sector development.
GIZ is not a lender. Organisations usually benefit from GIZ through grants and local subsidies within programmes, procurement contracts and tenders, or co-funded partnerships with companies such as develoPPP.
Ways to get GIZ support
Grants and calls for proposals run by individual country programmes (for example energy access or climate adaptation projects); tenders for consulting and services published on GIZ's procurement platform; and develoPPP, which co-funds company projects in developing countries that also deliver development benefits.
Where to find GIZ opportunities
Check the GIZ country office and programme pages for your country, the GIZ tender portal, and the develoPPP website for its regular ideas competitions.
