Africa Nature Impact Fund
Pan-African investment platform providing patient, repayable capital to high-integrity nature restoration and conservation projects. Co-designed by Finance Earth, FSD Africa and FSD Africa Investments (FSDAi), and launched at the Carbon Markets Africa Summit in Kigali in October 2026. Targets USD 100 million for early-stage nature and nature-based carbon projects, with a first close of USD 20 million sought in 2027 backed by a GBP 5 million cornerstone commitment from FSDAi. Builds on the Carbon Accelerator Programme for the Environment (CAPE), which assessed more than 300 nature-based carbon projects. Aims to protect or regenerate 4.5 million hectares, sequester or avoid over 100 million tonnes of CO2e, and improve the livelihoods of 1.4 million people, with community benefit-sharing built into its financing structure.
